Hello, I do hope all is well.
I remember a song when I was a kid called the “Happy Wonderer.” I think of this song when I read or hear about life and the ups and downs we have to walk. It is like taking a hike into the hills.
The author, Victor Hugo wrote, ” Have courage for the greatest sorrow of life and patience for the small ones, and when you have laboriously accomplished your daily task, go to sleep in peace. God is awake.”
At this point in our lives, we have to understand that life is not a straight line There are more twists and turns in life than on a carnival ride.
St. Catherine Senia tells us, “God’s beauty and meaning are found in both the highs and lows of life.” If St. Catherine was here today, she may very well say, “Hold on kids, it is going to be a bumpy ride.”
Peace and All Good,
Fr. Vinnie, fcm and the
Bros and Srs of the
Franciscan House of Prayer.
